Corealis University Standards
General
General
- No one may RP on Corealis without being a member and having their character accepted first.
- To avoid confusion, please register your account under an OOC name, and have only one account (not one account per character). You may use whatever method works best for you to organize your characters under this account.
- Respect the admin and moderators. What they say is law.
- Advertising should only occur on the appropriate board. Since you do not need to be registered to use this board, there should be no excuses!
- Make sure you close all tags if your characters use a layout.
- Additionally, try to make sure the text in the layout is easy to read, color and font-wise.
Making Characters
- You are free to create human students, staff, and faculity, as well as their families.
- Your first application must be accompanied by a joining post. If you already have an accepted character, a joining post is not required.
- Each character must be accepted seperately. Even though you are not required to have a joining post for your 2nd, 3rd, and so on characters, they must still be accepted.
- Characters must be original. No Hannah Montanas or Joe Jonases here.
- Any pets your characters own do not need a joining form.
- Yes, people do own exotic animals, wolfdogs, etc. in real life. Before you start giving all of your characters foxes, sugar gliders, monkeys, wolves, tiger cubs, etc. as pets, think about this: Corealis is a realistic RPG. Sure, it could happen, but how realistic is it really for students at a very academically challenging college (and on a college student's typical budget) to properly house, train, and feed exotic pets.
Game Play
- Other than the few twists specified in the 'Welcome to Corealis' tab, CU is a realistic RPG. Play as such.
- CU would be rated mature. This is college. Swearing, drinking, drugs, sex, violence, etc. all does occur.
- No power-playing, god-modding, etc.
- Characters must be accepted before they are used.
- All posts should be made under your OOC name/account, with some method of indicating which character(s) is being used
- Proper grammar and spelling are required. No chatspeak!
- There is not a minimum post length, as we all have our off days. That being said, make an effort to better your writing skills, and give your partner something they can actually respond to.
- Be as active as possible. This is another reason we do not have a minimum post length, so you are not necessarily pressed for time/muse every time you post.
OOC
- I do not want to see OOC fights on my boards. Take it elsewhere.
- Try to keep it fairly clean in OOC, since members of non-mature rated games may visit our boards.
- Again, advertisements for other games belong on the Advertising Board only.
