Character Information[/u]
Name: Dr. Margaret Anne Brennan.
Age: 27
Gender: Female.
Student/Professor?: Professor of Anthropology.
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual.
Appearance: She is quite tall for a woman at 5'9. She is very slender, scrawny even. Her skin is pale, though her cheeks still have a pinkish hue. She is a brunette. Her hair is fairly long. Her teeth are straight and white. Her lips are fairly full, and she accents them with lipstick more often than not. Her most noticeable feature are her eyes. They are a brilliant blue-green colour. Her ears are rather large, and she is self-conscious of them.
Personality: Margaret is extremely intelligent to a fault. She has never received a B grade, ever. She is rarely able to let loose and take something at face value. Instead, she must analyze every little thing. She is logical. She bases everything on fact, rather than faith or feeling. Margaret comes across as cold and insensitive sometimes, but deep down, she is very caring and sweet. She actually can have fun when not focused entirely on work. Her main love is anthropology, but she loves most areas of study (except for psychology). She enjoys classic films, television shows, novels, and music. She loves to read and write. She is a very talented cook. She is very independent and hates asking other for help. She seems to forget that she really does require the assistance and companionship of others. She tends to build up walls around herself and not let others in. She is not very trusting of others. Once people get to know her, she is great to have around, but it takes a lot for her to open up.
History: Margaret had a rough life. Sure, her family was not poor by any means, but she experienced a lot of hardship. She was always considered a nerd in school. She was not directly bullied, but she did not have many friends. When Margaret was fourteen years old, her mother walked out on the family. It came very unexpectedly, and Margaret took it very hard. She even blamed herself for it. Instead of talking about it, she held everything inside and turned her focus on her work. Her relationship with her father is very strained. She is a little resentful of him, as instead of being there for his family after Mrs. Brennan left, he turned to alcohol. He has since changed his alcoholic ways, but Margaret does not trust him. Margaret's one deep attachment to her family was her older brother, Simon. They were very close. Simon was very protective of Margaret. Unfortunately, when Margaret was in grade eleven, and her brother was in his second year of university, he was killed in a car accident. Margaret has never properly dealt with his death. It caused her to become even more distant from her father and more focused on her studies. Through all of this, Margaret earned her PhD in anthropology and became a professor. She truly enjoys her work and writes creatively on the side.

Sample Post:
Margaret awoke to the angry screaming of the telephone. She rolled over and groggily picked up the receiver. "Hello...?" she murmured.
"Morning Maggie. It's me. I just wanted to know if you wanted to go to lunch with me this afternoon. I was in the area and, well, we haven't seen each other in a while," said the familiar voice on the other end.
Margaret sighed and glanced at her alarm clock. It was seven o'clock on a Saturday morning. "I have to teach a class today," she told the man.
"On a Sunday?" he questioned. "Come on Maggie, please."
"I'm busy. I have a class and then I have some midterms to mark and then - "
"Maggie, you don't need to lie to me. If you don't want to go, just say so. I won't hold it against you," the man spoke.
Margaret sat up in bed. "I don't want to go," she admitted.
There was a pause. "I understand. Goodbye honey. I love you," he said.
Margaret sighed. "Bye Dad," she said. She then hung up the phone and got out of bed...
