Character Information
Name: Colleen Jessica Doulle
Nickname:
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Student/Professor? Sophomore, majoring in dance.
Birthday: July 3rd
Sexual Orientation: Straight.
Appearance:
Colleen's of average height at around 5'6". She's got a curvy body, with a thin waist but big hips from her dad's side of the family. Her hair is naturally dark brown, but she's dyed it lighter before, and it usually has blonde streaks in it. It's fairly long and naturally crimped.
Her eyes are light brown. Above them are thick eyebrows that she's always worrying about.
Her skin is light olive, with lots of freckles. Her ears are pierced twice, and she has a nose ring but doesn't wear it that much.
Her taste in clothes is very scene kid. She likes to wear bright colors and really gaudy jewelry - fat rings, big shiny hoop earrings, wrap necklaces. She's totally into all that kind of stuff.
Live right now.
Yeah, just be yourself.
It doesn't matter if it's good enough (good enough)
For someone else.
Yeah, just be yourself.
It doesn't matter if it's good enough (good enough)
For someone else.
Personality:
Colleen. She's a completely crazy hyperactive girly-girl. She doesn't mind being known as any of those, either. Actually, she kind of likes being the bubbly girl. She knows who she is and isn't afraid to be herself. She's usually very charming and sweet. It takes a lot to put her down and out of that optimistic high of hers.
She's very outgoing and random. She often runs up to complete strangers and starts talking to them about the first thing that popped into her head (which is often sprinkles or some such nonsense, incase you were wondering).
She's a loyal friend, if you're willing to get past some of the craziness and give her a chance. She loves her friends and sticks with them. She'd do anything for them.
Do I even need to say that she can be very annoying sometimes? The only way to shut her up for a few minutes is to scream at her, at which she takes it very hard and gets all pouty. But this doesn't have a long term effect. She'll remember what you did to her, but make it seem like she forgot all about it and go on being her normal self in no time.
She says she can be a serious person, but... can you imagine it?

She's glad for one day of comfort
Only because she has suffered
Fully alive
More than most
Ready to smile and love life
Fully alive and she knows
How to believe in futures
Only because she has suffered
Fully alive
More than most
Ready to smile and love life
Fully alive and she knows
How to believe in futures
History:
Colleen.
She was born and grew up in the middle of California, around a variety of people. She was always the slightly overprotected daddy's girl.
She didn't grow up in a very wealthy household, by all means, and it tended to affect her childhood. Like when daddy wanted to spend money on beer instead of real food.
But that wasn't a big deal. The thing that affected her the most was when her mother killed herself.
Colleen was ten.
She went to a large public school, where she was the shy, unsmiling kid that didn't talk much. Her life seemed to past slowly, and she tried the end it nice and quick like her mother had, but was always found out before she managed to do anything. You see, she didn't really want to die. She just wanted to be noticed.
The summer she was sixteen her father tentatively let her fly across the country to visit the grandmother she had never met, as she was from her mother's side of the family, in New York.
On first landing she fell in love with the state. It's mountains, farmlands. Her grandmother's big old farmhouse. Everything was so different from California, and she found it beautiful.
That time she spend with her mother's family was a revelation. She learned so much about her mother, found out that she really did love her daughter, and even if she didn't want to go on living she certainly would have wanted Colleen to have a full life.
Those months changed the girl's life completely. Her attitude took a total 360.
When she got back to school no one knew who she was. She quickly earned the bubbly "Cheer up, emo kid!" reputation she has now.
Before she even got out of highschool (actually, it was somewhere between landing in New York and flying back) she had decided where she wanted to be after she graduated. That was Corealis, the university her grandmother had showed her the first few days she had come visiting. But it was a completely hopeless, hallow, dream. She didn't have the money, she knew there was no way she could go.
Until her grandma offered to pay.
