COLLEENbubbles (yea, I know, it's actually Doulle.) "Cheer up, emo kid!" Bonce, bonce, bonce... the sound echoed throughout the otherwise empty gym. The basketball wheezed as it jumped from the floor to Colleen's fingertips. She shot. Missed. Ratz. The basketball ricocheted off the side of the hoop and tried to fly across the court. She jumped and managed to catch it. "Booya!" she said under her breath, grinning and preforming a semi-dance move.
Colleen tried running around the court, the ball not wanting to cooperate in bouncing. Thing's in need of a little air, huh? She tried for another basket. Actually got it through. Almost yelled yippee!
She couldn't remember playing basketball in over a year. Maybe two... She had played with her cousins a lot that first summer she came up here. That was like four years ago, though... Anyways, she'd never actually played in Corealis's gym before. Watched games here, but never been on the court in the two years she'd been at the university. She was definitely out of practice. She used to beat the tall dudes at school, today she'd only gotten one basket the whole time she was here.
Why was she here in the first place, though? Mostly because she couldn't concentrate on her homework. She was feeling too hyper to be interested in what was happening in Japan in the 15th century. She needed to work off some of her energy - and this would also help her trim her waist line a little. Heaven knew she didn't fit into that adorable size 5 skirt anymore.
She'd hoped, in coming here, there would be some people around to shoot some hoops with, but when she showed up the few people that were left. Aw, they must be late for class or something... she had thought, but didn't let it get her down.
She bounced the ball in front of her a few times, then aimed, and shot. She'd given it enough force, but it was too low again. The ball bounced hard off the hoop and flew all the way across the gym. Colleen ran after it.

Black hair gleamed in the winter sun as he made his way into the Rec Complex wearing a orange t-shirt with cream tan shorts and tan flip-flops. Many people had chuckled at him for wearing no jacket, flip flops and shorts during winter, but he believed if you prepared for spring it would come sooner. He had been going to the Uni for two years they all new him by now, unless it was the freshmans. Shrugging he picked up speed and jogged towards the gym, he hadn't been there for ages, he used to watch his brother play all that time but now, well he never came to the gym anymore, but when he heard the basketball going up and down, up and down, just like the old times he was almost confused, unless he was mistaken the practices where at 5pm on thrusdays, mondays and saturdays. Shaking his head, he entered the gym and leaned against the bleachers watching a young girl maybe a year or two younger then him, with dark hair. Watching as she would though the basketball into the hope, sometimes get it and sometimes not. He always loved this game, just never got into it in Highschool.
As he continued to watched, the ball was thrown from her heads missing the hoop and coming towards him; in one swift movement he found the ball in his hands, stepping out from the shadows the gym lights hit him head on, his black hair shimmering and his green eyes looking for the girl, once found her started walking towards her and gently but firmly though her the ball. Here, the ball should go that way he said nudging his head towards the basket. Smiling his usually smile, he hoped she realized he was joking, he really hoped he didn't hurt her feelings for up closer she was much prettier indeed.
Chuckling, he winked. Figuring it would be polite to offer his name, it would be her choice later if she would offer hers, of course he could always find out another way, which he didn't often do since he mostly stayed to himself on campus. Howdy! Im Josh Tuner he said a light sparked in his eyes, he had been tempted to change his last time when he moved but figured it was to much hassle, after his brothers death he didn't and wouldn't change anything about him, which included changing his last name.

COLLEENbubbles (yea, I know, it's actually Doulle.) "Cheer up, emo kid!" Colleen stopped running when she saw the guy. He caught her ball straight on. She applauded, trying to catch her breath. Josh he said his name was. She hadn't even heard him come in. She looked at this guy Josh, tilting her head to the side a little. First she decided she loved his choice in t-shirt colors. And then that he was a definite cutey. This could be fun. She had lots of time between classes.
He threw the ball to her and she caught it. "Thanks!" she said, and laughed at his remark, although she didn't quite get it. "And hi!" she grinned. "I'm Colleen. I think I might've, well probably, seen you around campus before." She knew she remembered him from somewhere. She hadn't actually talked to him or anything, just saw him around. Noted that he seemed to like flip-flops as much as she liked the green headband she was wearing now.
Colleen brushed a two-toned blonde-dark lock of hair away from her face, bounced the ball in front of her. He's gotta be around my age. she thought. Maybe a senior. She couldn't remember the people that were here before her. She had trouble remembering faces from two years ago... she also had a problem with remembering what her roommate looked like sometimes. That's why she ran up to some random girl the other day and hugged her. When she realized it wasn't her roomy she just laughed and ran away.
"Do you wanna play?" she asked, smiling gleefully. He could probably smoke her in a minute, but at least she'd have someone to play with.

Smiling he watched as she herself boucned towards him, he wasn't much taller then her, maybe a inch or two. Her voice, something seemed starnge about it, he was certin he had never talked to her before, nor had he seen her. Not that he didn't care, heavens no. But because well, he didn't know. He just new he hadn't seen her before. Shaking his thoughts, his black hair gleamed as he tilted his head, and smiled brigtened as she said her name, Colleen, Pretty Name! he said as he watched her, trying to remember where he had seen her before, or atleast heard her voice. Well, im a Sophomore so you may have seen me around in class's and such. Raising his eyebrows he squinted his eyes, and wrinkled his nose. I didn't think it was any fun playin' this game by myself when I was younger.. has it changed?
Watching her with interest, his smiled returned when she asked him if he would like to play. He did. Sure, I gotta warn you, I haven't played in who knows how long he said as she put his hands infront of him for the ball, using his fingers as if he was like come on come one. Starting to walk backwards he stoped and smiled, white teeth and everything. Ready, Colleen? he asked, waiting for her response!

COLLEENbubbles (yea, I know, it's actually Doulle.) "Cheer up, emo kid!" She blushed, still grinning. "Why thank you! You have a pretty nice name yourself!" Rather suddenly she threw the ball up into the air, just to see how high it would go. It came flying down and weakly bounced between them. She grabbed it at face level, almost hitting the poor guy. "Oh, you're a Sophomore?! I am too, that's so awesome! What classes do you take?" She tried to imagine him doing dance. I suppose he could, she thought, but I dunno if he's the type of guy.
She was skipping back and forth from one foot to the other now, feeling even more hyper now that she had someone to [torture] chat with. Until he left. She hoped he didn't have to go soon. "Well, no, it isn't all that great playing by yourself. I just came up here 'cause I needed something to do this afternoon. History class is so boring lately..." her face went slack and she stared into outerspace for a minute. Then she came back to live. "Oh! Yea, I haven't played in forever either." she laughed, especially when he went all mock pro. "Bring it ooonnn!" she said.
Colleen watched him carefully. She was having a hard time keeping her game face on and not breaking into giggles. She darted to the side, dribbling the ball away from him. She tossed it towards the hoop. Not very smart since she was pretty far away... she glanced over to see what Josh was doing.
(OOC:) *COUGH* crappy ending, sorry I didn't add anymore to it. I know popcorn about basketball. *wonders why she made this post then*

Are you sure my name isn't.. he paused as he searched her face and almost chuckled, she looked like she was ready for a show, her eyes and hair so pretty. He couldn't sto looking at them. Shakinghis head he continued, hansom? He said as he started laughing, loud but soft. But once she said "Bring it On!' he lost it, waling sideways he watched from behide but once the ball hit the air he jumped for it, missing by a good 2 feet. Landing on his feet he looked at Colleen, a full blush lit his face. Chuckling, he weavd his hands, palms out. Ya, See how bad I am!! he said with a chuckle as he darted sideways to capture the ball as it fell to the ground.
How about the loser treats the winner to a late lunch? Since history whore you out and english regained my energy since I almost fell asleep he said, winking at her again. Steppign backwards her shot, the brown ball swished into the hope. Wow, he couldn't remember the last time he actully got the ball in the hope, maybe thats why he never tried out for Basketball was cause he was always teased he could never make the ball in the hoop, even if he was a great defense.
Shaking the past from his thoughts he sighed, as he walked towards the back of the court to fetch the ball. Turning towards colleen he smiled, And for the Class's; I major in Human Mdeicine but I take English, Scienece and History, You? Stopping to listen, he held the ball loosely in his right arm. Soon enough he was lost in her eyes waiting for hr answer.

COLLEENbubbles (yea, I know, it's actually Doulle.) "Cheer up, emo kid!" "Handsome? Um... maybe." she'd already pretty much forgotten what she'd said, but she blushed. He was staring at her. She looked at her nails, the pink polish was chipped, in real need of some help.
He tried to catch the ball when she threw it, but it flew right over his head. "Poor shot on my part, anyways!" said announced, folding her arms. He was so cute apologizing. She smiled at him, and it lit up her whole face.
"You almost fell asleep in English?" she laughed. "Oh yea, Professor Pain?" She'd heard a couple people call him that before. If she remembered right they didn't like English either, though. She laughed again, pinched herself, which only made her laugh become louder.
She pretended to consider Josh's proposal. Lunch sounded good, especially with him. An evil plot started to be devised in her mind then, beginning with how many desserts she'd order and ending with how broke Josh might be. All I've gotta do is make sure I win! she thought, biting her lip to try to hold back a smile and looking away from him. "Okay, fair deal. And I'm majoring in dance," she said as she walked over to him, stopping close. "I want to go to broadway or something! My grandma is making me take English, Math, History and Business too, though. She doesn't think I'll make it to my dreams or something." Colleen stopped, sighed, and smiled as she rolled her eyes. "Says I need a backup plan of some sort. I think she's wrong, but I so love being here!" She hoped she hadn't said too much. He might be a little weirded out now, like people usually were when she started being a complete chatterbox.
She nabbed the ball out of Josh's grasp and ran away across the court, laughing.

Laughing, hole and hearty. He smiled at her. He isn't that bad, he just has a problem with rambleing on and on and sometimes I am late for some of my other course He said, adding a tsk tsk to the end of it. Jogging after her, she smiled. Lunch with Colleen was perfect, everyone would be surprised. He had many girls ask him out plenty of times but his mother had told him that the male always made the first move, never the female. No matter what the reason. He had made the first move with Colleen, right? He asked her out, even tho she asked him to join in the game? Standing still for more then enough time he chuckled. He never did things right these days..
Honestly, if you believe you can do something you can do it. Just don't let anyone else bring you down. Relivtive or frien- or even Foe he said winking at her, he remembered the day so clearly when his father heard even from jail that he was going to be a Docter "You'll never make it! You'll fail before you walk tho the doors! He had never had a father who would boost you up, and tell you that you have the gusts to do it. He had told himself he would never be like that. Never. But then he may never have kids so it may not even matter.
Smiling slowly, his green eyes watched her. He wouldn't mind if he lost, he may not be the rishest but he was the poorest either. He had money; he did of course have to have a job to get it; he wasn't like the rich kids who got there goods off the daddy's dime.
The ball came from his hands to fast, takign a double glance and seeing her running down the court, he started laughing and he sprinted after her. Catching he rin record time (for him atleast) he wrapped his big arms around her, and swung her around hopping for the ball to drop. Remember, weTurners don't play by the rules he said his voice deep and amusement stroke every cord of his body as he set her feet back to the ground..

COLLEENbubbles (yea, I know, it's actually Doulle.) "Cheer up, emo kid!" "Oh!" the breath went out of her when Josh quickly caught up and grabbed her. She clutched the ball and giggled when he swung her around. His chest felt warm. And he smells good! She liked being so close to him. "You do a good job with that, too!" she said, her stomach flipping as she turned towards him, her heart thrumming in his eyes. She wasn't quite sure that sounded right, but Colleen wasn't one to re-think anything she had said. "You're lucky I stand cheaters! ...Since I am one!" She grinned and threw the ball at the hoop. It was a pathetic throw, missing by feet. She laughed sheepishly. "Maybe we should call a truce?" She'd been a little distracted to keep score, but she was pretty sure neither of them had gotten any points. And with our playing - mine at least - we'd be here until morning trying to decide who's gunna pay for the dinner we missed! Plus, she was just darn hungry! "I like the Cafe, but I dunno if they're still open." she mumbled, her eyes trailing off to where the basketball had landed after her crummy throw. Of course, she didn't know what time it was, but it had at be a bit late. Colleen tried to think of where they could eat. She could pay, if he agreed with the ending of the game. Her grandmother gave her a pretty nice little "allowance". It wasn't like Colleen was her only grandchild, or granddaughter for that matter - Colleen had three female cousins. But she had turned into a sort of favorite after time, although a grandmother would never admit that she loved any of her grandchildren unequally. Colleen remembered herself and closed her mouth, which had unconsciously fallen open. She looked back to Josh. Um, yeah, I tend to do that a lot! she wanted to explain, but only smiled and asked, "Do you like snowcones?!"(OOC:) Oh Em. I'm so sorry it took me so long to reply, and that it's actually a really crummy reply at that. Romance stuff always kills me. v_v But Colleen's a very cheesy lovey-love girl. I need lots of practice, yupyupyup.
